Mein Sohn heißt Georg Wartlsteiner geb. am 21. August 2011 und seine Leidenschaft ist das Rennradfahren
Ich war selbst von 1994 bis 1999 Straßenrennradfahrer und zur damaligen Zeit unter den zehn Besten in Österreich. In dieser Zeit habe ich sehr viel für mein weiteres Leben gelernt. Vor allem das Durchhaltevermögen und auch die Willenskraft Projekte umzusetzen, schwierige Situationen zu meistern, auf Ziele hinzuarbeiten und alles daranzusetzen diese auch zu erreichen, eine ideale Voraussetzung also um ein Unternehmen zu führen.
Aus diesem Grund unterstütze ich auch die Leidenschaft meines Sohnes, Strassenradrennen zu bestreiten.
Georg hat im Jahr 2021 seine ersten Strassenrennen bestritten, damals noch ohne Lizenz, da er für eine solche noch zu zu jung war. Nichtsdestotrotz hat er in diesem Jahr alle 4 Tiroler Meistertitel gewonnen.
Im Alter von 9 Jahren in der Kategorie U13. Im Jahr 2022 hat er dann alle Tiroler Meistertitel (Strasse, Berg, Einzelzeitfahren und Kriterium) gewonnen. Des weiteren wurde er Österreichischer Meister auf der Strasse.
Bei der Internationalen Alpe Adria Tour, einem mehrtägigen Etappenrennen wurde er in der Gesamtwertung Dritter. Man sollte vielleicht dazusagen dass er bei diesen Erfolgen erst 10 Jahre alt war, und das in der Kategorie U13!
Durchhaltevermögen, die Willenskraft Projekte umzusetzen und schwierige Situationen zu meistern, sind die Lehren, die einem der Spitzensport aufzeigt, die sich dann auch nahtlos auf das Leben umsetzen lassen.

Very nice Road Race in Maria Schmolln with many clims and great roads. I was able to keep a good position in the Peloton in the first round, before attacking in the final climb and riding solo for 18km. I am really happy, that I won this one, so now I can ride with the Austrian-Champ-Jersey. Thanks for the perfect organisation from @xbike.mariaschmolln and @muehli1105

Nationals on the Road🇦🇹🏆
Very nice Road Race in Maria Schmolln with many clims and great roads. I was able to keep a good position in the Peloton in the first round, before attacking in the final climb and riding solo for 18km. I am really happy, that I won this one, so now I can ride with the Austrian-Champ-Jersey. Thanks for the perfect organisation from @xbike.mariaschmolln and @muehli1105

5° MEMORIAL ENDRIZZI GOFFREDO – PLATTNER MASSIMILIANO P.4
Not exactly what I came for but still a good experience to race in Italy. It was a really hot race with two short climbs in the last two rounds. I tried to split the Front Group, what didn‘t work out exactly how i wanted but in the end I was able to secure the 4th place in the sprint.

Kids Tour Nö🏆🤯
From Friday to Sunday I rode at the @women_kids_tour and it was a great experience.
On the first day i launched an attack with @walcher.alexander and later won the stage.
On the second day, the hardest one with a road race in Amstetten I launched an attack with 25km to go and I was able to win solo in front of @gerauer_tobi
On the last day there was an iTT in Herzogenburg which I was able to win again.
With these three Stage Victories i was also able to secure the General Classification, the Sprint Classification and the best austrian category.
Together with @gerauer_tobi and Filip Burdynski we won the Team classification.

TTT-Nationals on Saturday with @emil_mayr_ where we took the 🥉 medal behind the KAC-Team and the RLM-Team
On Sunday I got third in the Omnium on the Donauinsel after getting 6th in the Sprint, 4th in the Elimination-Race and winning the Crit-Race Solo
Overall great weekend with two 🥉 places and gaining many new experiences

On Saturday there was a Mountain Race in Innsbruck, which I was able to win solo with a gap of 1:39min⚡️🏆
On Sunday at my Home-Race in Söll I was able to win Solo again, this time with a Gap of 3:13min. Very Happy with this season start at home!!🏆🥇
Now time for a training camp in Vrsar next week🚴🏽♂️
