Mein Sohn heißt Georg Wartlsteiner geb. am 21. August 2011 und seine Leidenschaft ist das Rennradfahren
Ich war selbst von 1994 bis 1999 Straßenrennradfahrer und zur damaligen Zeit unter den zehn Besten in Österreich. In dieser Zeit habe ich sehr viel für mein weiteres Leben gelernt. Vor allem das Durchhaltevermögen und auch die Willenskraft Projekte umzusetzen, schwierige Situationen zu meistern, auf Ziele hinzuarbeiten und alles daranzusetzen diese auch zu erreichen, eine ideale Voraussetzung also um ein Unternehmen zu führen.
Aus diesem Grund unterstütze ich auch die Leidenschaft meines Sohnes, Strassenradrennen zu bestreiten.
Georg hat im Jahr 2021 seine ersten Strassenrennen bestritten, damals noch ohne Lizenz, da er für eine solche noch zu zu jung war. Nichtsdestotrotz hat er in diesem Jahr alle 4 Tiroler Meistertitel gewonnen.
Im Alter von 9 Jahren in der Kategorie U13. Im Jahr 2022 hat er dann alle Tiroler Meistertitel (Strasse, Berg, Einzelzeitfahren und Kriterium) gewonnen. Des weiteren wurde er Österreichischer Meister auf der Strasse.
Bei der Internationalen Alpe Adria Tour, einem mehrtägigen Etappenrennen wurde er in der Gesamtwertung Dritter. Man sollte vielleicht dazusagen dass er bei diesen Erfolgen erst 10 Jahre alt war, und das in der Kategorie U13!
Durchhaltevermögen, die Willenskraft Projekte umzusetzen und schwierige Situationen zu meistern, sind die Lehren, die einem der Spitzensport aufzeigt, die sich dann auch nahtlos auf das Leben umsetzen lassen.

Hard 16km long TT with 250 meters of elevation and 41km/h. 💨
Felt quite good and got 2nd with a 15sec gap to the winner. ⚡️

5th Gran Premio Val Degano 🥉 🇮🇹
Really happy with this result at one of the most beautiful races I’ve ever done.
63 km and 1100 m of climbing from Tolmezzo to Sappada.
Followed the attacks of @sebastiano_daiuto_ and @gal.klun in the grueling heat and in the end I was able to take 3rd place.

Crit Race – Saturday 🥉
Pretty happy with this result on a completely flat course — definitely not the easiest terrain for me 😅
Also really happy to take 1st place in the Tyrolean Championship! 🏆
Road Race – Sunday 🥇🏆
First win for me in the U17 category, and doing it on such a beautiful course makes it even more special!
On the second lap I attacked and got away with a small group. On the final lap I attacked once again and managed to go solo until the finish line 🔥

First races of the season in Tyrol 🚴♂️
On Saturday, I secured 🥉 in the hill climb up to Hungerburg — couldn’t have done it without the perfect teamwork from @maurizioalbertini2 and @sandroexenberger 🙌
Sunday was my home race, and with really tough weather conditions, I finished 5th. Not exactly what I was aiming for, but still a solid effort. Big congrats to @sandroexenberger for 🥉 and @maurizioalbertini2 for taking 6th! 👏
Still, I was the best 2011 rider in both races.

Vertical Up 2026 🏔️⛏️
A brutally tough race at the legendary Vertical Up Kitzbühel — finishing 7th overall and taking 🥈 in the Hogmoar classification.
I’m really happy with my time of 34:47 over 870 vertical meters up the iconic Streif. Pushing to the limit on one of the most demanding courses out there is always something special.
The shape is great, and I’m excited for the first road races kicking off at the end of March ⚡️⚔️

Season 2025 💥🏆
Today marks the end of the 2025 season — and with it, my second U15 season comes to a close.
Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for what I was able to achieve:
